The Charleston Hammers completed a perfect 16-0 regular season with a convincing shutout win versus the #31 Philadelphia Cheesesteaks 44-0. The Hammers are the clear cut favorites to win the League Championship, finishing first in total offense and total defense. They ended up scoring a league high 647 points which was 139 more than the second place Quicksilver while allowing just 138 points which also led the league. The point differential of 506 ranks 5th Alltime in league history.

Week 16 featured 4 key games including 3 upsets that helped shape the final playoff picture. First, we had the #3 Hollywood Stars beating the #9 Chesapeake Bay Crusaders 34-23 which secured the Stars the 2nd seed in the National Conference and cost the Crusaders the division crown. The Crusaders still backed into a playoff spot thanks to the #18 Hawaii Black Sharks who upset the #8 Texas Butcherz 11-3 which eliminated the Butcherz from the playoffs.
The #25 New Orleans Voodoo put some bad juju on the #13 Chicago Billy Goats beating them 12-7 which cost the Billy Goats not only the division title but any playoff spot. The Voodoo had spent all season buried with the Dead but this win helped to resurrect them into the And in the final rankings!
The #17 Tampa Bay Corsairs played spoiler by knocking off the #10 Oak Island Treasure 13-7 and knocking them out of the playoffs and the Quick tier.
The Quick went 7-3 in week 16 with #8, #9 and #10 all losing which cost #8 and #10 not only a final Quick ranking but also a playoff spot. The #9 Crusaders held on to a final Quick ranking and backed into the playoffs.
The And went 6-6 including the #11, #12 ,#14, #16 winning which helped all four to advance to the playoffs plus both the #11 Monarchs and #12 Timberjacks finished in the Quick tier.
The Dead went 3-7 including 2 wins in head to head Dead clashes plus the #25 Voodoo played spoiler by upsetting the #13 Billy Goats and getting resurrected in the final rankings up to 21st.
The #32 North Florida Lizards secured their place as "Deadest of the Dead" with a lose to complete another 0-16 season. The team has lost 32 straight games (League Record) and becomes the 6th team to go winless.
