Quick and the dead rankings (2036 Week 14)

We had a pivotal matchup between the #1 Stars and #2 Quicksilver which had huge implications in not only the NC South but for overall seeding. The Quicksilver pulled out the win which guarantees them the division crown but also a bye.

There was another matchup between two QUICK teams where the #10 Bakers defeated the #9 Thunderbolts which made the division races in the AC East & AC North must closer.

Only 3 teams in the purgatory of the "AND" actual won games while 5 "DEAD" teams won!

Quick and the dead rankings (2036 Week 15)

A quiet week in the rankings as only 2 teams switched tiers and the top ten teams remained the same teams.

The teams with asterisk all made the playoffs and 11 of the 12 are in the top 12.  The 14th ranked Foghorn Leghorns are the outlier as they have an 8-7 record but have won the division and yes I double checked. Green Bay could win while Foghorn loses and they both end up 8-8 with 4-2 division records but it's common games that decides it. Foghorn is 6-5 with the game against the Outlaws remaining while Green Bay ended up 5-7.

That leaves the 11th ranked Crusaders who are 9-6 and ranked where they should be but even though they could end up 10-6, it won't be enough because they lost head to head versus the 10-5 Thunderbolts.

Quick and the dead rankings (2037 Week 1)

We have a new #1 team despite the former #1 Quicksilver beating the #3 Stars by 7 points, the #9 Dust Devils move into the top spot with a 41-3 dismantling of the #4 Black Sharks.

The Buffalo Chips surprisingly moved into the top ten with a convincing 28-3 win over Philly. Buffalo was 6-10 last season and 1-15 the season before and peaked at #13 last season in week 1.

The Stars and Black Sharks fell out of the top ten and we will see if they bounce back in week 2 when the Black Sharks play the #15 Firebirds and the Stars play the #29 Voodoo.

Speaking of Voodoo, it's another season but the North Florida Lizards had no resurrection in week 1 and remain the Deadest of the Dead. The loss in week 1 makes 17 straight losses for the team where their last win was week 16 of the 2035 season over Buffalo. The Lizards have lost 24 of their last 25 games and they will play the #23 Rampage in week 2 where we will find out if the team has any pulse.

The Butcherz started last season being ranked #32 after week 1 and spent all season digging/clawing themselves out of their own grave to peak at #13 and finish at #14. They have once again dug their own grave just not as deep being #26 after week 1 and we will see if they can dig themselves out again this season. It won't easy as they play the #9 Thunderbolts in week 2 but a win could move a ton of dirt!

Quick and the dead rankings (2037 Week 2)

We have a new #1 as the Kansas City Monarchs beat the #4 ranked Crusaders. We also had the #5 Charleston Hammers defeat the #8 Duluth Timber!

The Black Sharks have started 0-2 and dropped to #27 in the rankings after finishing #4 last season. Problems with ownership seems to be the major issue as the team lacks leadership.

The #26 Texas Butcherz upset the #9 ranked Birmingham Thunderbolts and have dug themselves out of the grave quickly. The Butcherz play the zombies that are the North Florida Lizards next week which should keep them above ground.

4 QUICK teams lost while 3 DEAD teams won leading to 14 teams moving between the ranking tiers including the San Antonio Rampage who made the rare 2 tier jump from #23 DEAD to #9 QUICK.

Quick and the dead rankings (2037 Week 3)

We have a new #1 team as the #2 ranked Dust Devils knocked off the #3 ranked Quicksilver for the 5th time in the last 6 matchups including a postseason game.

We had our 1st tie as the #6 Autobots and the #19 Crocodiles finished overtime 13-13. Atlanta dropped to 12th while the Crocodiles moved up to 15th.

3 QUICK teams lost but 2 were to other QUICK teams and the 3rd was the #11 Stars defeating the #5 Billy Goats which led to the 2 teams swapping tiers as the Stars are ranked 5th while the Billy Goats fell to 19th.

Only 1 DEAD team won as the #24 Storm beat the #26 Bullfrogs which led to the Storm being resurrected to be ranked 20th.

The AND tier had a good week going 9-3 overall with 4 becoming Quick!!
