Quick and the dead rankings (2051 Week 15)

The Rattlesnakes remain undefeated and have eclipsed the 200 ranking points threshold which has only been done 6 times in the 25 year history of the week 16 final rankings. The Rattlesnakes play the #18 Rampage in week 16 so if they win and finish 16-0 they will have 32 points for starting ranked #1 plus 80 points for going 16-0 and 15 points for beating the #18 Rampage which equals 127 points. They had 62 +7 points this week for Total offense & Total defense plus turnover margin which equals 69 point. So 127 +69 equals 196 points. That means the Rattlesnakes would need to improve their turnover margin (currently +7) by 4 to become the 7th team to reach 200 ranking points. The Rampage have a -2 Turnover margin so its possible but it will be incredibly difficult.

Special shout out to the #8 Fayetteville Airborne who are run by the A.I. and currently have a +27 turnover margin. The record is +28 which has been done twice including the Fightin Amish last season & the Charleston Hammers in 2042.

We have a new 32nd ranked team this week for the 3rd time in 3 weeks as the Black Sharks become "The Deadest of the Dead". It looks like a 3 team race for the final #32 ranking between the #32 Black Sharks, #31 Blizzard & #30 Timbers.

The #32 Black Sharks play the #9 Gumberoos, the #31 Blizzard play the #6 Ravens while the #30 Timbers play the #19 Far East which means if all 3 lose then the Timbers will gain the most from losing to the lowest ranked opponent.

Quick and the dead rankings (2051 Week 16 Final)

For the 2nd straight season, the Rattlesnakes finished with the #1 ranking but they fell just short of the rare 200 ranking points with 198 ranking points.

The Regulators traveled to Chicken Wing to play the Foghorn Leghorns for the National Conference North division Title and they held on to win 33-26 which moved them up to the #2 ranking but still 31 ranking points behind the #1 Rattlesnakes.

We had 2 DEAD teams upset 2 QUICK teams in week 16 but in both cases the QUICK teams had already clinched their best possible postseason seed so the game was meaningless to both teams.

For the first time in 4 seasons, we have a new team with the title of "THE Deadest of the Dead" in the final rankings as the Duluth Timbers finished ranked #32 for the first time in francise history.
