Quick and the dead rankings (2047 Week 15)

ONE GAME TO GO!!!




15 games down and the Hammers, Mellotrons, Fightin Amish & Quicksilver have been in the Quick tier every week since week 1.

The Monarchs & Virgins made the Quick tier in week 2 and have remained there ever since.

The Rattlesnakes joined the Quick tier in week 5 while the Mallards joined the Quick tier in week 7 and both have been there ever since.

That makes the 8 teams at the top of the rankings which have separated themselves from the other 24 teams.

The Muskies won!!!! That is news in and of itself since the team has just 12 wins combined in the past 10 seasons. The win moved them up to #30 in the rankings with -51 ranking points. The Black Sharks have claimed the Title of "The Deadest of the Dead" with -77 ranking points while the #31 Borlealis have -76 ranking points.

The #30 Muskies travel to play the #15 Ravens while the #32 Black Sharks host the #28 Cut Throat's & the #31 Borlealis host the #25 Leviathan. I mention all this since the Muskies have finished ranked #32 in 6 of the last 9 seasons and if all 3 teams lose in week 16, the Muskies should avoid making it 7 out of the last 10.

Quick and the dead rankings (2047 Week 16 Final)

IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN



The Hammers hold off the Mellotrons by 2 ranking points to finish #1 for the 8th time in league history which is a league record. The Monarchs who finished #1 last season ended up #3 this season after loses in week 1 then week 15 derailed their chances at a repeat.

The title of "The Deadest of the Dead" went to the Borlealis for the first time in francise history. They were 1 point ahead or behind the Muskies for the #32 ranking as the Muskies barely avoided a record 7th #32 ranking. The Muskies have finished no higher than #30 in the rankings for the past 10 seasons while the Borlealis finished last season ranked #31.

You have to go back to 2033 for the last time the Muskies didn't finish Dead. 15 seasons ago the Muskies finished #15 when they finished 8-8 for the season. In 2032, the Muskies actually finished #9 when they were 10-6 and won the division Title.

Quick and the dead rankings (2048 Week 1)

The season kicked off with 2 games between QUICK teams plus we were treated to 2 major upsets as 2 QUICK teams (#2/#4) were beaten by 1 AND team (#14) & 1 DEAD team (#25).

We have a new #1 this week as the defending Champs, the Hammers did nothing wrong beating their opponent 33-3 but they played the #32 Borlealis which doesn't carry much weight.

The #6 Fightin Amish destroyed the #10 Foghorn Leghorns 50-9 which propelled them into the #1 spot in this weeks rankings while the Foghorn Leghorns dropped all the way from #10, past the entire AND tier and down to the DEAD tier at #25.

The #25 Autobots had a huge Upset win over the #4 Virgins 17-10 which jumped them all the way up to #11 while the lose for the Virgins dropped them out of the QUICK, down to the #20 rank in the AND tier.

The Hammers return to the #1 ranking with a win over the Quicksilver in week 2 as we had 10 teams switched tiers this week.

The Cut Throat's were named "The Deadest of the Dead" this week and 5 teams have a negative ranking score through 2 games.

Quick and the dead rankings (2048 Week 3)



Week 3 became the week of the upset as we had 4 teams ranked at least 10 spots lower then their opponents won including the #27 Timbers knocking off the #6 Far East which is a 21 position upset.

Week 3 could also be called the week of parity as all 3 tiers played to a .500 winning percentage. We only have 3 undefeated teams left while we still have 5 winless teams. That leaves 15 teams at 2-1 & 9 teams at 1-2.

All the upsets combined with all the parity led to half the league (16 teams) switching tiers including half the QUICK tier (5 teams) being new this week.

The AND tier has 8 of 12 new teams this week while 3 teams became DEAD this week. For the 3rd straight week a new "The Deadest of the Dead " was named in the Omaha Storm.

STORM UPSETS BLIZZARD

The #32 Storm saw the #8 Blizzard come to town and they rose from the ashes to melt the Blizzard.

For the 4th straight week, we have a new #1 team as the Mellotrons grab the top spot, just ahead of the Hammers.

We also have a new #32 ranked team for the 4th straight week and it's the ole reliable Muskies who have been named "The Deadest of the Dead" more times then any other team in the last decade.

THE HAMMERS NAIL THE TOP SPOT

The Hammers reclaim the top spot after gunning down the Regulators in week 5. The AND tier had more wins then QUICK tier teams this week as 3 AND teams become QUICK.

We had 2 upsets including a DEAD team, the #26 Heisenbergs salvaged their season with a win over a QUICK team in the #8 Airborne. The win resurrected Blue Rock from the DEAD while the lose grounded the Airborne as they are no longer QUICK enough.

The Muskies settle in for a second week as "The Deadest of the Dead" but the Borlealis & the Virgins are challenging them for the #32 ranking.

TOP SPOT HOT POTATO



After the QUICK teams went 10-0 last week, they went 7-3 this week thanks in part to 2 games between QUICK teams plus one major Upset.

The #24 Heisenbergs entered week 7 a DEAD team which has been a rare occurrence for Blue Rock. They responded by knocking off the #9 Regulators 26-21 to resurrect themselves from the DEAD and moving up to #17. The lose by the Regulators dropped them out of the QUICK as they dropped to #15.

The Mellotrons grab the top spot in the rankings thanks to a 47-17 destruction of the Quicksilver as the #1 spot has had 4 different teams in the first 7 weeks. The Monarchs also benefits from a win versus a QUICK opponent to move up to the #2 spot while the Hammers fall to #4 despite a convincing win over the #25 Corsairs.

The Muskies have solidified their #32 ranking as they have a 16 point separation from the #31 Virgins.
