Quick and the dead rankings (2040 Week 13)

The #1 ranking continues to be a game of hot potatoe! The Mud move up to #2 which is a far cry from a few seasons ago when they were the Lizards and challenging to be "The Deadest of the Dead".

Quick and the dead rankings (2040 Week 14)

After spending the 1st 5 weeks at #1, the 3× defending Champs, Charleston Hammers return to the top of the rankings. From week 6-14, 6 different teams held the top spot including the Hammers who held it twice in that period.

The 10 Quick teams stay the same but as has been the case all season, the order stays in Flux and a new #1 is named. The only true constant all season has been "The Deadest of the Dead" remains unchanged.

Quick and the dead rankings (2040 Week 16 Final)

We entered the season with the Charleston Hammers the clear cut #1 ranked team on the heels of 3 straight Titles. They would remain #1 thru the first 5 weeks and after a split in week 6, they regained the #1 spot in week 7. From week 8-11, we saw 4 different #1s until the Hammers reclaimed the top spot in week 12. Week 13 saw the Monarchs hold it until week 14 when the Hammers reclaimed the top spot but the Mellotrons grabbed the top spot in week 15 and they best the Hammers in week 16 to lock up the top ranking for the season.

From the preseason rankings, 5 of the 10 teams stayed in the top 10 with the others finishing #11, #12, #13, #22 & #24.

From the preseason rankings, 5 of the 10 DEAD teams stayed DEAD with the others finishing #21, #18, #17, #14 & #8.

The St. Lawrence Muskies started #31 in the preseason rankings and floated between #28-#31 until week 5 and they never relinquished that position. Their ranking score of -134 is the worst score ever since the inception of the current ranking scoring system in 2026, 15 seasons ago. They broke the record previously held by Philadelphia of -131 which was done in 2032.

Week 3 was quite odd as we had a number of big Upsets including 4 QUICK teams losing to 2 AND teams plus 2 DEAD teams. All 3 tiers went .500 this week as the rankings remain in severe flux as half the league (16 teams) changed tiers.
