Punt Return Touchdown. (yay!)

BTW I'm starting to get a feel that the sim zings teams at the very end of the game when you're on the winning side of a blow-out.

What I mean is 2 minutes or less to go I've now seen at least twice if not more my players get the injury notation on the final plays.

I wonder if it's the sim saying um, yeah you figured out how to score we're gonna slow you down a bit going forward.

Yeah, Ive lowered the settings so my starters come out quicker during a blowout.
Just be careful you dont leave it there when you play someone good

Well, that was a tough one. Difference ultimately turned out to be a football field length long angle cut which prevented us from a touchdown and resulted in a missed chippy field goal later.

Update: I don't care about this game but worry when it's deep playoff matchups and what could happen. Home boy was 58 speed.................!!!!!!!!!!!! (the defender)

Good game, Slick. :)

Your degree of difficulty as a GM is shooting to astronomical. (you're getting much more difficult to strat for/compete against)

A funny aside on a general sense. I know the day is coming where I've got a 90+ speed WR streaking down the sideline as the clock ticks away for a title winning touchdown/loss salvaging final play and that angle cut chops me down. Clock expires, we lose.

Seconds later I go to the top of my teams main page.....bink bink bink down the line 1-19 abandon teams and everyone is like "Where's Smirt?"

LOL

I worry about 4.6.......This game/sim is on the verge of complete collapse from lack of ownership.

If 4.6 were to have major problems like 4.4, it could literally kill this game.

I know why you're saying this. Tosu's recent main board post plus hearing it from various people in the game.

My personal thoughts is that JDB needs to turn back the clock on the Setherick influences (incorporate but don't overwhelm with it) and get the game closer to what it was in version 4.2.

Make v4.3 - v4.5 a bad nightmare. Now come to it and say ok, lets add a little spice. A dash of B & R for the DBs to prevent continuous WR and PA Streak connections and a splash of that. Ok, open up the playbook more with the hook and curl stuff but don't make it the be all, end all.

Moderation and also balance.

Good game Smirt! I think things will turn out for the best, I agree the game is for all not a few!

Im encouraged by a recent post by JDB where he will slow down releases and allow them to play out a full season in MFN-1 before general release

Pretty much what I suggested in the same thread which started the whole Lamba and others chiming in with there wealth of experience in that one season.

Heres his post

The last two patches were small patches - patches that intended to touch only a small amount of code. The problem is that because of the complexity of the engine, even small scope patches have a butterfly effect that impacts way beyond the goal scope, so adjustments have to be made along the entire ripple effect. Unfortunately, my goal to release frequent, small updates is probably impossible at this stage in development.

Given the feedback, I am going to slow down the release rate, probably including at least a full season in MFN-1 with no changes before releasing to the rest of the leagues. I don't like what is frustrating folks in the current version, but I also don't want to roll back to what was frustrating in the previous version that is currently fixed. As always, I invite anyone who loves braking down game film and wants to help make the game better to participate in the conversations in the Beta forum in MFN-1, and especially to grab a team as they become available.

I'm starting to come around to maybe I should give my input in Beta to assist the game moving forward....

But could you imagine, if my receiver was 85 speed and not 86 SUPER JDB would have tackled him short of the touchdown.

Now place this play (if it was, clock running out, etc.) in a title deciding situation. Yikes.
