What follows is a letter from TimReeseJr, owner and General Manager of the St. Lawrence Muskies (formerly Dallas)

First, thank you to the fans in Dallas, for not buying enough beer at the games, trashing the stadium after each loss, and using Markers and T-shirts instead of buying jersey's. With that said, we have decided to move north...WAYYYY north and east, to Upstate NY's beautiful North Country. We are an international team, drawing fans from the US and Canada as well. Here are a few reasons why we relocated where we did.

Our new facility, Red and Black stadium, pays homage to the Watertown Red and Black semi-pro football team formed in 1896, the oldest semi-pro team in the US. This distinction landed them a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Our stadium is located near Fort Drum, NY, home of the US Army's 10th Mountain Division.

Our name: Comes from the Majestic St. Lawrence River, and the ambush predator fish that inhabits it.

The final reasons why, is my home town is an hour from here...oh and they live near Canada (so they are friendly folk) and it's cold (so they will buy hoodies and jerseys) and they REALLY like Beer, Aye?!
