THE QUICK AND THE DEAD SHOOTOUT 19
This is a matchup between the two #1 seeds in both conferences.
AMERICAN CONFERENCE CHAMPS
The Duluth Timbers
This is their 1st Title game in their 19 year history. Owner Ioanblood took over the team in 2028 after 10 seasons of sporadic ownership and 3 division titles. He spent the first 4 seasons as owner rebuilding the roster, where they missed the playoffs but in season 4, he showed improvement finishing 8-8 in 2031. Starting in 2032, he made the playoffs every season with win totals of 12, 12 & 11 which earned them Wildcard spots before this season where he went 14-2, won the division and secured the top seed in the conference.
The Timbers are 8-7 Alltime in the postseason and 6-4 under owner Ioanblood.
They finished 8th overall in total offense and 3rd overall in total defense. On offense they rank 6th in passing and 11th in rushing. On defense they rank 3rd in passing and 6th in rushing. They led the league in sacks and have a +2 turnover margin.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS
Great Falls Quicksilver
The team has always been owned by Cjfred68 and they are making their 19th straight appearance in the playoffs. They have won their division for 19 straight seasons and have been a perennial title contender since the League started.
The Quicksilver are 46-9 Alltime in the postseason with 16 NFC Conference Championships are 9 League Championships. That works out to a 9-7 record in the Title game but after winning 6 of the first 7 League Championships in league history and 8 of the first 10, the team has struggled to bring home the Title. The last 8 seasons have seen them go 1-5 in the big game.
They finished 2nd overall in total offense and 1st overall in total defense. On offense, they rank 3rd in passing and 5th in rushing. On defense, they rank 5th in passing and 1st in rushing. They ranked 2nd in sacks and have a +7 turnover margin.
CONCLUSION
The American Conference has won 5 of the last 7 Titles so will the Timbers continue that trend or will the Quicksilver finally get Title #10 after starting 8-2 in the Championship game before losing 5 of their last 6 trips.
