Nice to be back here, I was this franchise (as the NY Giants) GM for the first five seasons of this league. I play in a lot of leagues but really I just like drafting and team building, and if I win a title once in a blue moon, that's cool.

Player ratings are default, not mine.

1.7 QB Damon Inman, Vol 4: +2/0 Now 50/89

There were a couple of borderline starters at the position (on a terrible roster), but when you get a chance to upgrade to a legit QB1 with almost no risk you take it (IMO). Hopefully a career Firebird, and an FSU grad too.

2.7 WR Billy Sampson, Vol 100: +17/0 Now 64/90

First round talent but obviously 100 Vol guys tend to fall. Having said that if I'd been online at the time I'd probably have passed on him myself! WR2 for now but future WR1.

2.19 RG James Finger, Vol 52: +9/-3 Now 50/78

Can't win 'em all but still a good prospect. Could play anywhere outside of C and may start at RG day one. Another pick I wasn't online for!

4.7 CB David Miller, Vol 74: +21/+6 Now 51/76

But you can win most! 95 Str but 71 Spd and 66 Acc mean he's probably our future FS, but CB is a black hole on our roster so will have to take some pains there first.

5.7 RDE Joseph Stone, Vol 22: +15/-5 Now 47/69

Some drafts Vol is essentially meaningless, and 'safe' picks turn out anything but. Still good enough to make it as a backup at a thin position here.

6.7 CB Gerald Travis, Vol 54: +2/-3 Now 24/52

Dart throw time after round 4. Travis has 72 Spd and 79 Acc, which might actually earn him a spot! I told you our CB room was bad.

7.7 C Stephen Kennell, Vol 48: +3/-1 Now 46/62

No dogs let out here, he'll be cut.

Overall really nice draft, particularly when you land starters with your first four picks. We'll probably be picking in this spot next season too!

Not a great training camp for Hawaii rookies:

1-21 RG Earl Henderson +9/-1 now 48/85 One of my top targets when the draft list came out, should be a starter soon. Looks to be an adequate run blocker now, pass blocking may take a little time.

2-21 RDE Dwight Robinson +5/+2 now 42/74 A little undersized, but love his speed and acceleration. A decent tackler who added pass rush and run defense potentials.

3-21 WLB Al Smith +10/-4 now 37/66 A safe pick I wish popped a little more to help the defense. OK speed and tackling skills who lost some zone and M2M potentials.

4-21 SS Tomas Barr +8/-5 now 35/66 Probably not a future starter. Near the max on all the important coverage skills after losing some future potential. Looks decent at stopping the run.

5-21 WR Shaun Caldera +7/+0 now 36/70 At least a great kick returner. Looking to add some receiver depth with a few guys getting up there in age.

6-21 K Gordon Mullenax +8/+2 now 51/80 Added some strength and maxed out his accuracy. Might be able to replace my 35 year old kicker who could retire soon.

7-21 WR David Murdock +2/-6 now 31/48 A 92 volatility flyer who's just fast, going to be cut at the next sim.

When a kicker is one of your pops in training camp it's not a great sign. A few young FAs look like they could pan out, but only having two preseason games to evaluate them makes things pretty tough.

My team has reloaded thru both free agency and trades and the rookie class will add 4 players that will make the roster.

The Quicksilver are ready to reclaim the throne!!!
