The American Conference has its 7 playoff teams locked up with only final seeding on the line in week 16.
BYE The Virgins currently hold the bye over the Monarchs based on Conference record. The Virgins simply need to beat the #29 Blizzard to secure the bye. The Monarchs need to beat the #13 Rancors plus have the Virgins lose to secure the bye.
#3 & #4 Seed The Far East currently hold the #3 seed while the Mallards hold the #4 seed. The Far East clinch the #3 seed with a win on the road at the #10 Foghorn Leghorns. The Mallards need to beat the #19 Airborne plus have the Far East lose to move up to the #3 seed. If both teams lose then the Far East clinch the #3 seed.
WILDCARD SPOTS The Rattlesnakes are locked into the #5 seed while the Rancors currently hold the #6 seed & the Heisenbergs currently hold the #7 seed. The Rancors clinch the #6 seed with a win at home versus the #7 Monarchs. The Heisenbergs need to win on the road at the #14 Stars plus have the Rancors lose to move up to the #6 seed. If both teams lose then the Rancors clinch the #6 seed based on a head to head win over the Heisenbergs.
The National Conference has 4 spots clinched with 5 teams fighting for the last 3 spots including the North Division crown.
BYE The Mellotrons currently hold the bye over the Hammers based on Conference record. The Mellotrons clinch the bye with a win at home versus the #4 Fightin Amish. The Hammers need to win at home versus the #15 Rampage plus have the Mellotrons lose to clinch the bye. If both teams lose then it would come down to net points where the Mellotrons sit at +403 while the Hammers sit at +465 so barring a complete destruction by the Rampage over the Hammers, if both teams lose then the Hammers get the bye.
#3 Seed/South Title The Fightin Amish currently hold the #3 seed and 1st place in the South and they clinch both with a win on the road versus the #2 Mellotrons. The Quicksilver need to win on the road versus the #25 Corsairs plus have the Fightin Amish lose to clinch the #3 seed and the South Division crown. The Quicksilver would hold the common opponents tiebreaker if the Fightin Amish lose and they win since the Quicksilver beat the Heisenbergs while the Fightin Amish lost to the Heisenbergs.
#4 Seed/North Title The Regulators currently hidden the #4 seed and 1st place in the North over the Foghorn Leghorns & Ukraine United based on Division record. The Regulators simply need to win at home versus the #17 Ukraine United and they clinch both the North Crown and the #4 seed. The Foghorn Leghorns need to win at home versus the #9 Far East plus have the Ukraine United beat the Regulators to clinch the #4 seed and North Division crown. The Ukraine United needs to beat the Regulators plus have the Foghorn Leghorns lose to the Far East to win the North Division and clinch the #4 seed.
WILDCARD SPOTS The team that doesn't win the South Division locks up the #5 seed. The Ravens currently hold the #6 seed while the Foghorn Leghorns currently hold the #7 seed. The Ravens simply need to win at home versus the #30 Muskies to clinch the #6 seed. The Foghorn Leghorns need to win at home versus the #9 Far East to at least clinch the #7 seed. The Ukraine United need to travel to the #11 Regulators and win to secure at least the #7 seed. The Stars need to win at home versus the #12 Heisenbergs plus have the Regulators win while the Foghorn Leghorns lose to clinch the #7 seed.
Things cab become crazy if the United Ukraine beat the Regulators plus the Ravens & Foghorn Leghorns lose and the Stars win. It would create a 4 team tie at 9-7 for the final 2 Wildcard spots. In that scenario, the Foghorn Leghorns would get eliminated first based on division tiebreakers. Then the 3 teams would probably go to net points where it currently stands Regulators (+319), Ravens (-20) & Stars (-61) so it would appear the Regulators & Ravens would clinch the final 2 Wildcard Spots.
The top 14 ranked teams are the 14 playoff teams which tells me my ranking system is pretty darn accurate!
AMERICAN
The Virgins are the surprise team in the American Conference as they edged out the Monarchs for the bye. The Virgins along with the Rancors break 4 season playoff droughts.
The Hammers may have finished with the #1 ranking but the Mellotrons got the bye. The Ravens snapped a 3 season playoff drought while the Foghorn Leghorns made the postseason after missing last season.
