The Dust Devils came out of the gate with a stifling defense and opportunistic offense forcing the Bakers to punt on their first 6 possessions while putting together 87 and 73 yard touchdown drives to take a 14-0 lead into halftime. The Dust Devils allowed just 72 yards of total offense in the 1st half.
The Bakers actually out-scored the Dust Devils in the 2nd half 10-9 but it was too little too late as a couple of costly turnovers kept the Bakers was sustaining success in closing that 14 point 1st half lead.
The Dust Devils running game led the charge with RB Oliver Hester gaining 129 yards on 16 rushes for a 8.06 yards per carry average and RB Patrick Gardner added 68 yards on 5 carries for an average of 13.6.
