So. Are player contracts tied to position and rating? If I took a 99 CB and converted him to a 45 DT would the contract for the DT be cheaper???
Company hires you for $50,000 a year to program computers. Later, they decide to make you clean the place and reduce your pay to $20,000 a year. What would you do?
If you can sign guys between the championship and end of season without affecting the current season cap then it seems to negate the whole reason jdavidbakr gave for why resigning guys uses the current season cap room.
Wouldn't it make sense to eliminate this loop hole or just let us sign guys whenever without affecting the cap?
I'm considering adding a stage before FA-1 that allows you to re-sign your expired players at their asking price. Might make it more restrictive (i.e. you wouldn't be able to modify the request like you can normally). I'm more open to doing this now that their requests are significantly more than they used to be.
I actually didn't realize you could sign at the end of season stage without staying under the cap, I will probably close that loophole in a future release.
Are we still able to sign extensions before the end of the season? I'm in a new league that is in it's 2nd season. Almost every single person that I picked in the inaugural draft will be a free agent after this year. I have like 10 mil of cap room and most of my players want a 2+mil raise to resign them so I will be able to sign like 5-6 guys and the other half of my team will become a free agent. Is there a way to resign my players before they all walk?
