We had a draft day deal in USFL that glitched out. This is our war room with the player in question pictured. I will post a screenshot of the actual trade message shortly.

The deal itself was a 3 for 1 pick swap, no players involved. I wasn't present at the time but I think the trade was done around the time the draft clock expired on the traded pick.

Anyway the player, Gerald Hatman should be on Michigan, as he traded for the pick and actually made that pick, as shown in the war room and player card under draft status. Yet the game engine assigned him to Philadelphia.

Interesting, it looks like the trade was processed in the middle of the draft pick being selected. Honestly surprised this hasn't ever happened before. I'll have to see if we should maybe put in some sort of deadline for a trade before the pick fires...
