Playing Time

I searched the forum, but couldn't find an answer.

Does playing time speed up progression?

I have a QB that will be quite formidable, when he's "mature" The problem is, by the time he's ready, he'll have been in the league for 9 years... Just wondering how to speed it up so I can get more usable years out of him

I wanna say i have read in forums about it. Playing time gives "Position Experience" and the midweeks/Camps give actual progress to statistics.

Playing time also gives play knowledge, but as far as I know, there's nothing you can do to affect how quickly/slow a player develops. It's built into the individual player's code, but we can't see it.

His overall has a weight in the current rating that comes from his experience, but besides that his individual attributes will be the same in either case if he has the same coaching staff

So... does that mean player development is impacted by the coaches? So improve the coaching staff would be the answer?

If they sit in FA for the camp spin like an UDRFA who booms will not receive any current development. The future will go up with no coaches but the coaches do show you the potential influence on thier cards with the red bars. There is a hierarchy of distribution based on the coach s position but I have players shoot up or move very slowly no matter the coaches .

Intelligence aids experience and familiarity but once again these things are there to make players never really have a cap as how good they can be. It’s designed to be minimal compared to the effect of the pregeneration of the player after the first camp and his ratings display.

It’s that depending on our code we’re running some skill ratings get minimums to be effective. Perhaps in this case its the 4.5 code and the QBs accuracy rating. Nothing is going to supersede a bad accuracy rating in terms of performance.

Well time and a better coach but these players are clear projects Kurt Warner style players. If it were a comparison to a Brady type he shot up to 75 -85 accuracy that first or second camp. Coaches didn’t matter in Brady’s scenario but playing time helped him in other ways ...especially down the line when ratings are maxed out and their facing other mature players in evenly matched scenarios
