Max Conditioning Gain For A Quarter?

I'm trying to get my starters up to 100% conditioning by the end of pre season. Played them 1 quarter in game 1, 2 quarters in game 2, 3 quarters in game 3.

Most of the starters at at 100, or within a few percent. Some, due to snap counts, are still in the 80s. My question is (and of course this is variable due to snap counts again, a "quarter" is hardly a constant measure) how long should I play a guy to get him 15% or so of conditioning?

I'm either going to pull starters after 1 quarter or 2, I just can't decide which. I'd prefer to go 1, and give the guys deeper on the depth chart more minutes, plus lower the risk of injury to my starters, but I don't want to do it the starters only get 2/3/4% of conditioning!

Understand it's a bit of a vague one, but any suggestions appreciated.

Good info! Thanks for posting it.

Question: Would it matter as to the experience of said players, for them to gain the necessary conditioning? A 2nd year player would take more minutes than a 9 year veteran?

No, those are independent of each other.
